Following the invitation to have “a heart as big as an artichoke, and so big that everyone can have a leaf of it”, we will celebrate the 187th birthday of Meri Hōhepa Suzanne Aubert.
The celebration will take place with a Commemorative Mass at Our Lady’s Home of Compassion at 11:00 am, which will feature music by St Mary College. Afterward, attendees will enjoy refreshments in the Heritage Centre.
The invitation is open to all who wish to attend one of the most significant events in the Compassion calendar and a time to reflect on the life and legacy of our founder Meri Hōhepa Suzanne Aubert.
Matariki is a cluster of many stars. This cluster of stars signifies a framework upon which Māori life and the whole yearly cycle of life, was built. The appearance of Matariki signifies the end of one
year, and the beginning of the new year with all its promise, hope, and goodness.
There will be a special Matariki Prayer Service on Friday 24 June 10am St Annes Church
Please bring finger food to share with a cuppa afterwards.
Anyone wanting to help please contact Sr Elizabeth
Mass with Cardinal John Dew presiding. Followed by afternoon tea in the church hall. Memorial Books available $20.
We look forward to seeing you there.
You are invited to a Holy Hour, to pray for vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life.
This Holy Hour will include prayers, Scripture, singing, times of silence and conclude with Benediction.
A reflective time with simple songs and scripture that brings us to stillness and silence.
ALL are welcome
For the rest of this term will be Wednesday 8th June to celebrate Pentecost and Wednesday 6th July to conclude our term. Please put these dates in your diary. We would love to have parishioners join us. Both masses start at 9am in the school hall.
